Byredo Alto Astral

I'm in a very meditative mood today. This one really brings back a lot of happy memories for me.

Coconut water, musk, and plenty of aldehydes. Somehow, they managed to capture not only the scent, but also the heat of laundry fresh out of the dryer. It's slightly astringent and minerally as well, reminiscent of sun warmed sand on the beach. The incense is not churchy, but instead spicy and a little green. This perfume takes me back to enjoying a freshly cracked coconut after biking along the beach, with the sun warming the freshly washed shirt I've put on.

It's tropical, but not in a vacation kind of way - more of an "I live here," it's the weekend, I've just woken up between fresh sheets, and I'm ready for an outdoor adventure.

If it was a little greener and had a rain note, I think it would be my childhood in a bottle.

Such a beautiful, evocative perfume. I'll always have to have this one in my collection. 10/10 scent with good projection and performance (especially for Byredo)
