Herbes Troublantes smells like a very elegant greenhouse. As it settles, the green herbs soften into something more musky and lightly floral. It becomes less “herbaceous cologne” and more skin warmed by garden air. The real plus for me is that it feels fresh without being sporty.

The word troublantes really fits: it is nt a loud perfume. It is unsettlingly attractive. Like someone calm, intelligent and beautifully dressed leaning over to pick basil from a pot and suddenly you forget what you were saying.

it may be too gentle if you want drama or beast-mode projection. This is a close, polished, slightly mysterious scent rather than a room-filler.

      Really lovely but brief! I have two of the 10mls and I can't seem to justify the full bottle.

      Yes totally agree! I also reach for it if I'm feeling a little bit headachey or just out of balance. I see it as something that just calms me.
