Orpheon EDP vs EDT

Thought I'd finally get around to doing this comparison since I picked the EDP to put on this morning for a family meal. Trying on new Diptyque perfumes is such a treat as they are probably my favorite and most worn house.

First impressions - they are utterly different, yet so much the same, and both are absolutely wonderful. It's fascinating!

The EDP, one of my favorites, is a lot warmer, woodier, a touch spicy, and powdery soft. The juniper in the opening is stronger, too. This is definitely more well blended and gives a cozier, more reserved and elegant vibe.

On to the EDT... The yuzu here is absolutely fantastic - Sweet, citric, bitter, and a little fizzy - a genius complement to the rest of the notes. Such a different vibe compared to the EDP, but the Orpheon DNA is still there. The green notes are subtle (nothing like the grassy greenness of Philosykos) and contribute to the natural feeling of the scent. The magnolia and rose (similar to the rose in Eau Rose) are light and airy compared to the sweeter, creamier jasmine in the EDP. This is a perfectly fresh, clean, crisp scent that would be amazing for spring and summer. It is fun, lively and very energizing. A very easy wear as well.

Having both would not be redundant at all. In fact, I'm extremely tempted! If you love the Orpheon DNA, both are definitely worth checking out.
