Camphor is a bit harsh on the open, but it mellows out to a smoky, oriental frankincense, with faint traces of a powdery iris base. A nice take for Beijing and solid addition to the Cities lineup.

Pics from fall of 2019 in Beijing: While maybe a bit more challenging of a place to visit for western tourists, the food and history is 1000% worth it. And yes, the Great Wall is technically not in Beijing, but we used the city as a jumping off point to go climb “wild” (unrestored) sections of the wall, which was absolutely as incredible and adventurous as it sounds!

    From a quick whiff I had at this one I agree, the camphor can be a lot at the start but it does settle nicely afterwards into something incense-y. The Iris reminded a lot of the one that’s in the Omniscient Mr Thompson. Cool pics!

      Thank you! Our next big trip will actually be back to China, but that’s mainly because we want to get another visit in before our tourist visas expire (which were kind of a pain to get initially). Exploring the Balkan region is very high on my travel list currently!
