Intro to Amouage

Brief description of my Amouages, for anyone interested in discovering the brand. Note: Amouage is my favorite brand and I like pretty much everything here.

Note: I haven't smelled Memoir Man nor Jubilation but I assume I would love them.

Outlands: spicy citrus frankincense patchouli vanilla. Can't be described in words. First phase is sparkling candied citrus. Second is spicy patchouli. Third is just amber and vanilla. The frankincense (not incense, this isn't smoky at all) is always there as a backbone. 10/10.

Epic Man: spicy incense with green facets and a leathery animalic drydown. Very versatile and wearable though. 9.5/10.

Decision: frankincense vanilla with spicy and metallic facets. Hard to describe but one of the more accessible Amouage. 9/10.

Journey Man: starts off hot-and-cold spicy, then becomes a spicy tobacco scent. Also versatile and wearable in winter. Mature scent. 8.5/10.

Reflection man is also nice (sandalwood, iris, and jasmine). The most mass-appealing but not a typical Amouage. 7/10.

Interlude man: weird oregano opening with an amber-incense drydown, either you love it or you hate it. The drydown is very atmospheric to me. 8.5/10.

Dia man: french-style floral dewy soapy scent with a hint of incense. Elegant but sits very close to the skin. 7/10.

Beach Hut Man: very unique freshie. Smells like wild mint and herbs. Gives me remote island jungle beach vibes. 8/10 for now cause I haven't worn it enough.

Purpose 50: some people adore this, some can't stand it. It's like a creamy frankincense-sandalwood thing with hints of vanilla and spice. Maybe a little soapy too. 8.5/10.

Guidance: powdery sandalwood with a kinda fruity bright opening. Nice. Unisex but feminine-leaning. 7/10.

Love Delight: lovely almond scent, floral gourmand. Very beautiful and uplifting. Super feminine. 8.5/10.
