Gifts, materialism, & being seen

Sometimes I concern myself with being seen as materialistic, so when I was given this from my boyfriend’s brother & SiL, I was both thrilled to receive it, but also a little bit worried that my hobby makes me seem just the way I had feared. Unfortunately, one of the things that comes with fragrance enthusiasm is occasionally owning some fragrances.
It’s definitely something I’m working on, but I’m glad to be confronted with something that makes me think & reflect on myself. Just because it’s how I view myself doesn’t mean it’s objective.
The notes are amazing, it’s fresh, & the perfect tea scent so I was honoured to be the one to add it to the app’s arsenal. Gifts are one way humans communicate, I feel very lucky to have them around.
