I enjoy it a lot, however, I don't think this scent profile is worth the price tag. The iris in this reminds me a bit of Givenchy Gentleman EdT. I also was getting some Elysium Noir (minus the citrus) vibes from it too. I enjoy clean, powdery fragrances immensely, but I just don't see dropping $500 on this particular one.

Oh and to answer your question... Yes there is something in the drydown that is a bit synthetic, however, it's not necessarily a bad aroma. It's pretty clean smelling to me

Love how this fragrance evolves as you get deeper into the dry down. It turns from a creamy iris into a sweeter almost caramel adjacent scent with a lift of lavender freshness after a couple hours
