SOTD with Review

First of all I should say that this fragrance is a flanker of Elixir. The baseline barbershop/fougere feeling is still there but there are some changes that might appeal to some people and not to others. This is a smokier, less bright and obviously more woody version because of the oud they used

As someone who is into this hobby I wouldn't classify this oud as harsh or "funky". This version also doesn't really try to appeal to the masses. However as a designer release I respect it a lot more than the usual generic flankers

It projects a lot and lasts a long time. I don't know how much stronger it actually is compared to the OG Elixir though. They are probably already at a level where comparing performance is almost meaningless

I've had a couple of chances to say this before but in the air this smells gorgeous. The real question is whether I prefer it to the OG Elixir. The answer depends on the situation but generally no. For general use I would choose Elixir all day. As a statement maker though this is the way to go
