Eshal · Neela Vermeire
There are scents that reach the peak of a profumer for multiple reasons, in this case is a mix of the massive connection that Bertrand has with Neela, is clear they are friends, but is even more

Love Hibiscus · Amouage
Love Hibiscus is one of those perfumes that smells different when you've got your nose buried in your skin VS when you're appreciating its scent cloud in the air. Up close, the frankincense in the

Molecule 01 + Black Tea · Escentric Molecules
Beautiful sweet black tea. This is good stuff. It’s actually not Earl Grey, there’s no bergamot here. I also see people saying it’s unsweetened, must be people who are anosmic to Iso E? Because this

LifeWorld · Idle
Out of all of IDLE’s offerings, L1FEW0RLD is my favorite. It’s milky and floral, but it never turns sour. I find this “abstract lactonic” of flora & fauna/mammalian milk & pollinated flowers to be
Dusk.
Mezcal Roja · Kelly Jones
Early on, the corn silk shines. Sniffing blind, I thought it was hay—golden, earthy, grassy, somewhat herbal. Really interesting note, with bitter cacao and dry wood beneath it. Later, it’s all about

Water · Aaron Terence Hughes
Named "Water" for the idea it's supposed to convey, and with only the 2 notes listed: water and ice- I think the nail was hit on the head with this one. Is it great? 🤷♂️ It's "not bad" at best. It

Vibrato · Sospiro Perfumes
First wear of a blind Vibrato buy. Did. Not. Disappoint. Right between the fresh orange of Afternoon Swim and the Hacivat grapefruit juice bomb. With just a touch of blue marine. Know what it

Aqua Universalis · Maison Francis Kurkdjian
A masterclass in pure, luminous minimalism. It opens with a flash of sparkling Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon before settling into an ethereal, airy heart of white florals and clean musks. It

Milk Orchid · Commodity
This is one of those perfumes I thought I had to have, but I'm glad I just got a couple of testers. It's very nice, but like most commodity on me, it is very short lived. I get maybe an hour and a

Little Rosie · September 28th Perfumeries
I wasn’t holding out much hope for this one, tbh. I love both pear and litchi as smells but they never really seems to work out as fragrance notes for me. Maybe it’s because they always tip too

Dirty Rose · Heretic Parfum
Today's my first full day home after a long trip overseas and I slept through the morning and could go for a nap right now. I'm very jetlagged. To combat this, I busted out the Heretic Season of the

Jasmine House · Deconstructing Eden
This is uncompromisingly bold and indolic. Starts kind of brassy with the coriander, then jasmine upon jasmine upon jasmine with lots of creamy, velvety sandalwood underneath, and some warm amber in

Dior Homme Parfum (2014) · Dior
To me, it opens with the trademark powdery iris and a supple leather. The orange is very faint, but definitely plays a supporting role. The opening has an almost boozy quality on the air. Similar to

Pure White Cologne · Creed
Opening is a gorgeous white floral and citrus. The classic Creed ambergris dry down comes in and gives it that instant creed DNA. It’s hard for me to properly explain the notes on this because it’s

Ambre 114 · Histoires de Parfums
To me, Ambre 114 is more of a benchmark amber scent than Serge Lutens' Ambre Sultan, which has a thick, herbal opening, or Profumum Roma's Ambra Aurea which leans heavily into the cola-scented face

Beau De Jour · Tom Ford
A lavender so realistic that I become one with the flower. A minty coolness so bright it cuts through the purple hues, streaking the lavender with shades of chartreuse and emerald. A patchouli so

Neroli Letters · Montblanc
Neroli Letters is an elegant citrus neroli fragrance, which is simplistic and that's the point. It's not trying to be anything more than it needs to. Bergamont, neroli and patchouli makes this a top

Carousel · Brown Girl Jane
Carousel is a super fun and unique perfume. I don't think I've smelled anything like this. It has the same vanilla, sandalwood and fluffy musk base as its sisters from the brand, plus prominent burnt

Pomelo Oolong · D'Annam
Bought this in LA for my wife. Big mistake lol — now it's "ours" and I'm the one reaching for it. Was expecting sweet tea, that fake sugary tea note everything has. Nope. Actual pomelo up top, kind

Rose Roche · Diptyque
I've loved rose fragrances for years, so I came to Rose Roche with high standards. It cleared them. I love wearing florals precisely because I'm a man. The juxtaposition is the whole appeal — a

I’ve wanted this for a long time, always checking eBay, etc. It’s so damn expensive that I couldn’t justify a blind but. However, I saw it on the Gray for a decent price and had to get it. I am not

Oriana · Parfums de Marly
The opening of this rode in on a pink motorcycle and ran me over. Marshmallow and whipped cream straight to the face. Luckily this was a driver that would stop and ask if you’re okay. The dry down
