Traveling to NZ - need recs please!

So I am traveling to New Zealand for a week and I am looking for recommendations for perfumes to try and/or buy while I'm at the airport or while sightseeing.

I've tried Google and Reddit and feel more overwhelmed and confused at this point as I see the notes but not sure how the combination of notes affect the overall smell (still relatively new to perfumes). I'm open to all kinds (designer, niche, drugstore, local) but ideally it would help me remember New Zealand or something that I normally won't smell here in the US.

I gravitate to clean, fruity, floral 😅 I struggle with heavy, sweet, and incense 😓

    Look for Curionoir. I have a few samples from them. It looks like they have a boutique in Auckland. Gemini AI gave me the following additional brands: Abel Odor; Frater Perfumes; The Virtue; Miller Road; BLK Sheep Perfumery; Queenstown Natural Perfume Co.; Fragrifert Victorian Perfumery; MEA Fragrance. It also suggested these retailers: Tessuti (Auckland): Stocks avant-garde indie niche brands alongside local artisan goods. World Beauty (Multi-location NZ): Premier boutique stocking high-end niche perfumery and local New Zealand luxury brands.

      You'll probably see a few responses as this will serve as my notes too. Curionoir sounds interesting and liked 1 or 2 based on description. Liked only 1 so far from Abel. I liked the descriptions from Frater so I do want to smell those in person

      D’Or Perfumes in California has some Frater and sells a Frater discovery set! https://dorperfumes.com/frater-perfumes#toppage. It’s not entirely clear what’s in it though, the site has no descriptions.

    I recently read an article about a NZ female founder who focuses on the flora and fauna native to NZ. I can’t recall her name but the brand is Circe

      So it looks like the owner is revamping the website so I couldn't click on the product links but the articles were interesting. I emailed the business to find out if there are any storefronts I could visit. Thank you!
