I’ve gifted many fragrances I owned before, though most of them were dupes/cheaper designers that I bought for a lower price. I’m due another clear out, but the ones I want to offload are niche and cost me a pretty penny, so I’ll probably try and sell them.

Not really, don’t think we have those here in Sweden. I’ve given perfumes along with toiletries and food to homeless people.

I don't have that many full bottles for it to become a thing. I definitely give away decants and samples for them to be explored and possibly loved by someone else. Once, I gave away whatever was left of my bottle of Black Orchid to my mother. She loves Velvet Orchid and wanted to branch out, and it was my second Black Orchid in a row and I was sort of over it by then.

It’s only happened to me once so far - I have a J-Scent that in theory I should love but actually as soon as I sprayed it, I knew it was meant for my cousin. That’s her Christmas gift sorted! I did however try something from a discovery set (Call for a Good Time, Discotheque) and had to buy a travel size to gift to a friend, which isn’t quite the same but feels it!

Austin’s a lucky guy, I really like Bitter Peach. I’m going to sound mean with my answer, but hear me out. I’ve never given away a full bottle. But I don’t blind buy (unless they’re cheapies). But I do have gifted perfumes that I’m not that fussed about. I also have a weird thing about releasing my bottles. If I’ve lost interest in a scent then I’ll give away decants to friends and families, but not the bottle. I hate clutter, so this shouldn’t make sense. I can ruthlessly clear out my wardrobe without a second thought.. but I have not yet developed the psychological capability to let go of unwanted perfume bottles. Evidence #1… I’ve a 16yo bottle of VS Bombshell that was a gift thats half full but hasn’t been sprayed in 10 years. This is a problem.. but I’m not really working on it.

Of the four full bottles I've gifted folk, I re-bought 3 because I'm a psycho with ocd tendencies and I just kept staring at my shelves thinking something was missing. Now I just decant the hell out of everything to give it away. Especially at work. As soon as someone shows interest in one fragrance, I feel the need to bombard them with a range of decants😄

I have two adult daughters and they have friends (some I’ve known since kindergarten). My girls get full bottle first dibs then their friends/coworkers. I’m also the “neighborhood decant lady” (quotes because both girls out of state from me). If a coworker loves a scent and my kid tells me about it, the coworker will have a decant magically appear.

I’ve never gifted any bottles but only because I’m pretty picky about what full bottles I buy, so I like all of them 😅 and sadly I don’t have any IRL friends that care about fragrance who would really appreciate the gift. I’ve gifted plenty of samples and decants to try to get my friends into the hobby (to no avail)

Over the years, I’ve given away a couple of bottles from my collection, I’ve gifted a lot of new bottles, I’ve gifted (a couple) and sold (a lot) of the two fragrances I created almost ten years ago, and I’ve only sold one from my collection that I ended up not loving. Aaaaand my 10+ year old bottle of Oud Wood has like maybe 6 or 7 wears left that I’m savoring, haha.

I love giving away fragrances that I don’t wear. I like pretty much everything I own but if it’s something that’s only a small “like” and I NEVER wear it, I’ll happily give it to one of my friends/family that’s into perfumes (which is kind of a small circle lol). I’ve probably given away 40+ bottles over the years. Definitely lost some money but I love giving people stuff 🥹

Me and my mom “share” perfumes, meaning, I buy all of them then give her ones I don’t use or don’t love and then at some point end up switching them out for other ones. Lol I just got escapade gourmande back from her and gave her Bianco latte in its place. I also love giving my friends samples and decants. My friend came over the other night and she left with no less than like twelve decants lmao.

After a lot of early blind buying early on, I wound up donating quite a few to the local Goodwill. I've also gifted/given a number to the son of one of my friends. He's a young kid that seemed to enjoy some of the sweeter scents I had found myself never using, along with a bunch that had a high retail value that I had bought on steep discount or secondhand online for very cheap that he could impress his friends with. 😆
