   I love a good clone or cheapie! I appreciate the artistry and storytelling that can go into creating certain fragrances but at the end of the day I just want to feel good about what I’m wearing. I’ve recently discovered Fiancée and everything I’ve tried is so nice! If you like minimal, clean, close to the skin scents. For dupes I *love* Heist Fragrances

   My collection is a wild mix of expensive and cheap, and I don’t judge people for seeking out dupes of DNAs they know they love. Honestly, two of my favourites are Elizabeth Arden Green Tea which is one of the cheapest ones I own, and also Hello (from Lionel Richie!) both are about £10 for 50ml which is pretty reasonable.

      White Tea is definitely more of a gentle, spa-like fragrance (think luxury hotel lobby!) and I do like it a lot but I think I prefer Green Tea… and the flankers, tbh, it’s a line that rarely lets me down!

   I like cheapies (wearing and loving one today) and dupes sometimes! It all depends how good the scent is, the price doesn’t matter. Some things are less dupable but I genuinely feel like my $15 oil perfumery dupe is as good as OG Creed Sublime Vanille. Why would I spend Creed money when I don’t have to? I like dupes precisely because it helps make perfume more accessible.

      Yes they’re still around!! I think they only have physical stores in Quebec now, the rest of us have to order online. Kate used to be called Blue, it just got renamed. I still love it and I think I got it on sale for $25 or thereabouts.

   One of my favourite purchases last year is a bottle of an Alien dupe called Predator, lol. It smells almost exactly like Alien before reformulation and was €1. It's fantastic. I feel like perfume was more of an elitist hobby back in the day and still retains some of the airs now. But with globalism and the rising popularity of weird artsy perfumery, it became way more inclusive.

      Omg I saw someone post that on Reddit!! People were saying how they wanted to display them (Alien and Predator) next to each other 🤭 If I ever see it I'll be sure to pick it up!

   Oh, and for the cheapie I'd recommend based on your library, I'd suggest Guess Seductive Red; you can get it for under $15 depending where you get it (if you're US based, I think I saw from a previous post that you're in Canada tho? I hope you can find it there!!) :)

   I think the cheapies and dupes have their place and uses. I dont own many and the ones I do have i typically wear at work. I work outside year around in Houston Texas and it just doesn't make sense to wear something that I will sweat off me by 8am. If I happen to be in the office that day I will wear one of my nicer ones but that's about the only time. I wish I was into more of the dupes but im just not. The way my brain works is if I really like a scent profile of a dupe i will eventually buy the og so I might as well just buy it and save the money by not buying the dupe. I will say I have several local stores that carry all the dupes and some are extremely close so if you arnt advertising it 99% of people will never know what you are wearing. Last week I tried the much hyped Thriller and it pissed me off how close to YSL 6 it is.
