What ruined a perfume for you?

I already asked for the reason you started collecting perfumes. Let's talk about what made you not liking a scent anymore. A moment, a person, a time of your life or simply a bad experience Mine would be: Victoria Secret's Vanilla body mists. I know, a classic we all went through in high school but I had these two classmates who kind of made it impossible for me to enjoy them. They were a total bullies and so disrespectful towards teachers and classmates alike, let's say I didn't like them that much. First thing in mornings they would be spraying themselves inside our classroom (10+ sprays) specially after gym class, so yeah, being trapped in a hot classroom + teenagers body odor + vanilla mist, is not a great combo 😭 now I can't smell it without the BO note itching my nose. *Pic to draw some attention*

      Have you tried it in recent years or it's too much? I've tried several times to like VS any vanilla mists but I simply can't 😭

    I bought Bal d'Afrique Absolu back in the beginning of May and absolutely loved every second of it... until one day. I put on quite a lot of it (maybe a bit too much) and went to work. As I was on the way, I started having intense pain in my stomach and left flank. I ended up having to go home and was experiencing the wost pain of my life- so bad that I was projectile vomiting. Turns out I had a kidney stone and had to spend the night in the hospital. Now almost 3 months later, every time I try to wear it I think about that intense pain and nausea. I am determined to eventually get over this, since it really is such a fantastic fragrance, but I don't know if it's possible 😂

      Omg. Glad you are ok though. Like shock therapy?! I'm a testimony that kind of works, I reclaimed my beloved Anais Anais by wearing it and making new memories 👊

    Kajal Aican. It’s still an amazing scent but I dated a girl for about 2 weeks and it was the most stressful 2 weeks of my like. Now it literally raises my blood pressure every time I smell it

    A co-worker and it was BIR Intense. He is one of those dare I say “special” type of people who goes beyond whats acceptable in fragrances. Overspraying is alright to a degree, but not when you do it before work, refreshing during every single break with a lot of sprays and then some. So not only did he ruin it for me, I don’t even wanna go near BIR anymore.

    Te voy a contar un secreto 😔 I stopped using Dark Door Sport because a co-worker once said that it smelled like wet dog 😭 and I know it's because of the Patchouli, and that made me so careful about the amount of patchouli in the perfumes I use

      Yeah, when she said that I had almost no liquid left lol, so I finished it anyways but I didn't want to buy it again 🤣 I'm actually not the biggest patchouli fan but there's some takes that I really enjoy
