Who’s done it? How’d you do it? Did you use a service for selling, shipping, etc? What parameters did you set for yourself so you maintain a practically sized collection?

There is a huge fragrance sell and swap page on Reddit. I've sold hundreds of bottles and decants on there. There are also Facebook fragrance groups with decent people to interact with as well. Avoid eBay because they will take a large cut of what you sell (I call them feebay).

      Thanks!😊

I think you have to be realistic when decluttering your collection. Ask yourself how much you wear certain perfumes, if it was a conscious purchase or an impulsive one, if you are gonna like the scent in one year to keep wearing it or not, if there's anyone who would actually like it better and give it a better use. Once all those are answered you can either gift or sell them and don't try to double check those questions out cause then you will doubt the decision!

The double-checking/second guessing always gets me! I pulled a shirt I’ve had over TWENTY years out of a resell bag just last night, all because I let the bag sit for several days instead of taking it to a resale shop/donation center.😅

I need to do this, too, but I always think I’ll want it one day.

This seems to be my problem too 🫥

I answered what I do with on your story, but how I decide what is a keeper or not is that if I've tried it three times and am still thinking "not really" or "no," it goes into the donation pile. Usually there's about a month in between tries, to give both the perfume and me a solid chance. If I do like it but haven't worn it in a while, it goes through the same treatment. There are some seasonal/special ones that are exempt- I wouldn't do this with my summer fragrances in mid winter, for example.

      Thanks again!
