How did you discover your favorite note(s)?

My favorites are Saffron and Patchouli.

My gateway to Saffron was Torino22 by Xerjoff. It smelled a lot like some Saffron we had in the kitchen. Been hunting down Saffron scents ever since.

As for Patchouli, it was Carlisle by PdM. I noticed it was basically a combo of vanilla and something else I couldn't figure out. Something damp and thick that I liked. I eventually smelled patchouli oil and it clicked, I knew that was it.

Now almost all my favorite scents are heavy either on patchouli or saffron.

      Yep Reflection Man made me see florals and powdery notes differently.

    I knew I loved rhubarb the minute my nose sniffed 3 L'Imperatrice all those years ago. I also thought I hated patchouli until I started recording my perfumes on an app and realised how many perfumes I had with patchouli in it. Give me a rose and patchouli combo and I’m a happy bunny.

    My favourites are cherry and a dark vanilla. Vanilla I’ve known forever, but I discovered how much I like cherry in the 7 Virtues discovery set. It’s set me off on a cherry adventure.
