What scents give you memories of places you've visited and why?

   When I first tried Outlands, which I hate with a passion, it’s just too spicy to my nose and I don’t get the vanilla aspect of it that most people get or maybe I would like it more. Anyways after smelling it I realized I had a very emotional reaction to it, it smelled like something from my past and then it dawned on me. My grandfather was an Oboe Maker, after the war he hand made them until retiring, and Outlands smells exactly like his workshop, all the woods, metal and incensey vibes. I spent a lot of time as a kid in there and Outlands smells so much like it it’s crazy. I ended up buying a 5ML decant of it just so I could smell it now and again even though I would never put it on my skin again lol.

      Thanks for sharing! That's definitely a powerful memory especially if that scent combination was a significant part of your childhood. I haven't smelled it yet, but I would probably have a similar reaction to fragrances similar to banana nut muffins and steamed rice cakes which I made often with my mom

   Ambre Cashmere Intense ❤️ I'm NC with my mom right now for my own health, and this takes me back to days with the windows down, radio blasting in her Pontiac Grand Am. I don't know why, bc I don't know what she wore those years, but, whenever I wear it, it actually makes me feel like a kid again. Didn't expect to cry writing this❤️
