Do you find fragrances with numbers as their names less intriguing?

   I did experience this with noteworthy but I recently got a discovery set from histoires de parfums and am enthusiastic about some of those fragrances probably because they’re tied to a specific year and sometimes person. So random numbers don’t resonate with me but if it has a story then I like it.

   I actually kind of like it🤷🏻‍♀️. Then I have no preconceived notions or expectations. Edited to add, I am a math geek so I have a thing for numbers.

   Yes other than the iconic 11 11 I basically won’t even bother smelling a number perfume.

      Oh and I wasn’t thinking of years as number names. I’m also fine with it if it’s a year (à la histoires de parfums)

   Nah, not really, they’re easy for me to remember, and like someone else said I like it when they have a meaning. Outside of the scent itself the only thing I do mind is the bottle design. Bond No 9 for example or the 34 blvd bottle by Diptyque or not that pretty to me. I have some new balance like that and ngl I do not remember the numbers for those lol, all I know if they’re Made in USA/UK and that’s it haha

   I don't recall coming across a number named one that really sticks out as conveying any sort of meaning or helps craft the story of a fragrance. I love Loewe 7, but it's such an uninspiring name. Pierre Guillaume is notorious for the numbers before each name, I can't remember anything except 14.1 which isn't even one I've tried or want to try. I have a few and can't recall any of their numbers. I am very much not a math person. I went to grad school for archaeology, remembering specific years was a nightmare

   I do find them less appealing because I can’t remember which notes go with which numbers…which really shouldn’t make a difference, but somehow it does? It’s so impersonal. Plus I’m a sucker for a good name, like one that’s fun to say and/or in a non-English language.
