When I first started collecting fragrances, I would blind buy full size bottles. Now when I blind buy I buy travel sizes. I’ve been super lucky and haven’t gotten a lot I don’t like.

I’m in a no buying willy nilly, I have about 8 wants , 9 if you count the travel I have that I’m upgrading, and those will be the only buys I make , unless I smell and sample first and it’s a love. Also it’s got to be a different scent profile from the rest of my collection.

This. In theory, I wouldn’t blind buy. But if it’s a cheapie, comes recommended from people I trust and the price of a FB is similar to the price I would pay for a sample .. then I don’t mind a little gamble with that.

Rarely a full bottle, but recently blind bought a bottle of Xerjoff Naxos and I have zero regrets! In fact, it has leapfrogged to my number two of all time - surprise! My wife also loves it.

I will say, though, I'm a cheap date—I'm notoriously easy to please lmao. Very cosmopolitan and diverse in taste, so blind buying doesn't bite me in the ass as much as I KNOW it does others. I will say that I'm now in a No Buy season tho(😭) and will be living vicariously through this app + heavily utilizing the 'shop my collection' subreddit hehe

I’m usually very picky so blind buying has never worked for me, plus I unfortunately love smelling them first. It’s part of the experience!

I love guessing if the notes will orchestrate as imagined/ experienced through other frags I've tried that list the note ❤️I'll only blind buy bottles under $30 that trusted noses approve, though. I do have rules❤️
