Anyone else have any cheapies that you wish a larger house would take a shot at improving?

For me, it's Swiss Army/Victorinox Black Steel. It's a simple but intriguing note break down (pepper, ginger, leather, larch, pine and almond). The larch note is especially interesting, as I don't see it all that often.
Black Steel feels like it just needs a little extra oomph, and perhaps a boost into an eau de parfum and it could really be something great. It feels like a bit of a cross between a clean leather and a fougere. All that said, it's still a crazy good scent for the price you can pick it up for (under $15USD for 100ml at any discounter that carries it; I bought mine for $14 on Amazon last year).
Performance isn't awful. Projection is low to moderate, sillage is below average, and longevity sits around 5 hours. For the price, it's hard to complain. Black Steel is a nice cheap option for cooler weather as it stands, and possibly worth buying someone young as an introduction to fragrance that stands apart from the sweet vanillic and bubble gummy stuff (no hate if that's your thing, this is just about bucking a trend).
