Staring at my collection this morning deciding what to wear, I chastised myself yet again for buying too many of the same type of scent. My fall choices are almost all woody, sweet, and/or spicy. Vanilla, sandalwood (and other woods), and cardamom are the common notes in most of them (with various musks, fruit, and flowers sprinkled in). What about you all?

My fav fall notes are apple, plum, any combination of chai spices (cinnamon, cardamom, anise, etc) fig, tea, tobacco and vanilla!

My go to for fall is La Danza Delle Libellule, which is a juicy apple with hints of cinnamon and cocoa, kind of like an apple pie but less “baked” and more fruity. I also love Biblioteque by Byredo, it’s a jammy plummy scent with a bit of leather that smells just like the colour burgundy, if that makes any sense at all 😅

I love myrrh—my brain tends to file it under “cinnamon” but without the edible aspect. Smoke and oud are tricky for me, but I did recently buy a scent that has both, so perhaps my horizons are expanding!

They’re tricky for me too! But if they’re blended well - total gems. By the Fireplace is a good beginner smoke fragrance. One that’s more intense is 03 Lonestar Memories. As for oud, The Moon is easy to wear imo and a great fall fragrance.

Woody Teas and woody patch fruits and figs.. they remind me of harvest. I think most people would class that as strange. For example, Bal D’Afrique, Blue Talisman and Gris Charnel are classic autumn scents for me. And I like aromatic scents. I usually like deeper, spicier scents for winter.
