Seasonal scent restrictions

#question

Aside from avoiding sickly sweet fragrances in high heat and summer- Do you only wear specific fragrances in other seasons, or do you only stick to the "best season" for a fragrance?

Wear whatever I feel like wearing any time of year... If it makes you feel good what does the season have to do with it.

  To me, summer does make sense since some fragrances become way too heavy in high heat (and humidity where I am) but I know not everyone feels the same way about it. I just wear what I feel like most of the time but I also feel a lot of scents I gravitate towards are safe year round

  I mean I agree with limitations on some fragrances in summer if you're going to be in public and outside in heat... For sure. Gave my wifey trauma a while back wearing pdm Althair to the Disney park and that thing would not stop pushing in the heat... That's not happening again for sure.

  I have always been team wear what I want despite seasons, but yeah I definitely am conscious of if it's too much in the heat haha. I'm a lady working in a cold office with only guys so usually it's not too bad anyway!

I wear whatever I feel like but I will admit I tend to wear certain perfumes more in certain seasons, not even necessarily because it’s a “winter” scent or something. For example I start craving bright citrus scents usually about January when I’m over winter but still stuck in winter.

  Winter I feel like is so hard to define a scent profile for, so I bundle it with spring, mostly because so many of my scents are in the spring "category" unintentionally. I'm just a big fan of green and florals of all kinds! I also like to just wear what I feel like, but I am also in the boat that most of my scents are good for most seasons anyway.

Yes, I’m a definite seasonal wearer. I like to create strong scent memories connections so I like to associate certain scent profiles with certain events, places, people and time of year. There are some perfumes I only wear in December, never mind winter. I like missing perfumes and looking forward to them.

  I definitely associate scents heavily with memories, people, places as well! I've always wanted to semi-curate a seasonal rotation, but I have a hard time putting some of my scents into a seasonal category. Missing perfumes and looking forward to them and also being able to try new decants is big for me too!

Same, I'll wear whatever I'm in the mood for. But I do get migraines so I steer clear of heavy, super floral or sweet in the high heat

  Definitely understandable about high heat not mixing well with some florals with sweet notes, it's actually made me change my thoughts on some scents before since it's hot here for so long!

I tend to like my light floral scents all year round but I'm noticing that as I age I'm craving warmth during the short cold season here and my poor floral scents don't hold up

  Interesting! I think warmer scents are the biggest hole in my collection, but I also am ok with certain florals in the cold too.
