I do this all the time. With vintage AND even current bottles the atomizer fails or leaks in some way. I refuse to let my stink-juice be wasted, so I decant it. I had a bottle of original date of release Azzaro PH I was NOT giving up on. I bought a pair of needle nose pliers and it was basically all I needed— a box cutter can help initially.

I've done this, but it's the last resort if all other decant solutions fail. Too worried that it'll break the bottle.

Yep. Only seen glass shatter once (literally a week ago) but I know it’s likely I’ll have to break a freaking BEE BOTTLE to get my stink juice. I’ll make art or something out of it if I do.

I had a selection of cheapies I bought when I was first figuring out fragrances I liked (I discovered pretty quickly I have expensive taste) that I wanted to use in some reed diffusers as I didn’t like them on skin, and I had to do something like this with those! Although, when I say “I”, I obviously mean “my long-suffering partner”.

It’s hard when you smell the good stuff to look at the older stuff with the same nose, but nostalgia helps! Reed diffusing is an awesome idea!

Luckily my MIL always gives me fairly mild scented diffuser oils for Christmas, so I had plenty to carry them in!
